English Day Celebrations
Knowing the importance and the need to promote the learning of English, schools celebrate this day either as an “actividad circuital” or at the institutional level. These are some activities that have taken place this year.
The high schools from circuito 06 organized a celebration that was held at Salon El Lago, Grecia on September 29th.
Students from Liceo San Roque, Nocturno de Grecia, Leon Cortes Castro and Deportivo de Grecia through dance, songs, music, dramatization and a torch contest showed with enthusiasm and creativity their English linguistic skills. This advisory acknowledges the organizing committee and all the English teachers who participated with their students in this activity.
The primary schools from circuito 06-Grecia celebrated the first English Festival at Eulogia Ruiz School with the participation of students who presented dramatizations, poems and songs. The effort of the organizing committee meeting with teachers and principals, designing and making the invitations and certificates for all the participants, and looking for sponsorship made of this activity a successful experience.
High schools and primary schools from circuito 07 (Poas) organize a better celebration every year. On October 16th at Pedro Aguirre School, students from all the institutions showed their knowledge in a joyful festival. As a special guest we have Yamileth Chaves, one of the National English Advisors.
