Teacher´s Guide for 3rd Grade-Full Version



This is the full Teacher´s Guide for third grade to support English teachers in the process of  implementing the new English syllabus.

It provides the scope and sequence with the distribution of goals, assessment strategies, themes, sentence frames, discourse markers, phonemic awareness, vocabulary and social language for every week.  

It also provides the theoretical framework of the syllabus and we strongly recommend teachers to read it, as it has information of the CEFR, first cycle scope and sequence, Action Oriented Approach (AOA), phonemic awareness guidelines and others necessary to implement this curriculum.

Since teachers are the ones who know their students best, they have to adapt the mediation strategies in the weekly lesson plans, so that they respond to the needs and context of their learners. Teachers are not allowed to modify the goals and assessment strategies set for every week, though.
